Profile
Engineering is my craft. Quality is made in the details.
Patrick Stratil, computer scientist and founder of Printerking. I design and make parts that have a job to do: spares, functional prototypes, fixtures and small production runs. And I love it when an idea turns into something you can hold.

How I work
Structured as an engineer, pragmatic as a business owner
The computer scientist in me takes a requirement apart before solving it. The business owner knows the most elegant solution is worthless if it takes too long or costs too much. Together they produce the answer you receive.
Clear communication, clean work, honest advice
Those are the three things my customers name when I ask why they come back. If 3D printing is the wrong process for your case, I say so before the quote, not only after the order.
Teaching at
FabLab Zug
Ongoing, and before that around two years of public courses at Bibliothek Zug. For beginners of every age.
What I work on
Three areas where I am needed most often.
Bespoke 3D printing solutions
Custom parts matched precisely to your application. From a single piece to a small series, functionally convincing and technically thought through.
Prototypes & functional parts
Fast, precise realisation for testing, development or presentation. Robust functional parts for real use, checked for load and fit.
Advice & technical realisation
From the first idea to the finished part, structured and transparent. I think along, clarify requirements carefully and optimise designs for clean production.
