Your machine and its quirks
I go to the machine standing in your building: operation, maintenance, typical failure patterns, limits. If no machine is there yet, this becomes purchase advice based on what you want to make with it.
A close look at your parts
I take example parts from your production and work through how they can be optimised for printing: orientation, support strategy, where material can be saved and where it belongs. Deliberately not a CAD course: this is about the machine and the process.
The slicer down to expert level
From the basic settings to the parameters nobody else touches. Which value has which effect, and which combination solves a problem instead of creating a new one.
Materials for your application
Which materials suit your parts, where the differences lie, and what the choice means for production, post-processing and service life.
Three formats, three prices.
For most companies the half-day course is the right choice: two hours are usually too tight for your own failure patterns, and a full day only pays off once several parts, print profiles or materials come together. The content builds up, the larger format contains the smaller one. All prices are per course, not per person.

Two hours are for a shared basic understanding, safe operation and getting one model cleanly ready to print. Design, print profiles and systematic fault finding belong in the half-day course. I match the exact content to the machines you have and to where the participants stand.

This is not a CAD course: it is about the principles that make a part printable, not about operating design software. You can send failed prints, photos or documented cases in advance and I will build them into the course.

From about ten participants I recommend splitting the course over two dates. On a single machine nobody gets their hands on it otherwise.
Travel
My central location in Root LU puts Lucerne, Zug, Zurich and Aargau within easy reach; I am glad to come further afield as well. The flat rate follows the distance from Root LU and covers travel time and vehicle costs for the journey there and back.

Incidental costs such as parking are not included; I agree them with you beforehand. Over a longer distance the half or full day tends to be worth more, because the travel stays the same and spreads over more hours.
The preparation is in the price
For the half-day and the full-day course I look at what you work with beforehand:
- Which printers you have
- Which slicer you use
- Which materials and print profiles are in use
- What you print for, and what goes wrong doing it
- The questions your people bring along
That is the difference between a course about 3D printing and a course about your 3D printing.

What the guide prices mean
The figures above are what you can budget with. Only three things shift them, and all three are on this page: scope, group size and distance. Write a line about which machine you have, how many people are taking part and what the team should be able to do afterwards, and a binding quote comes back with price, travel and schedule. If something comes up: cancelling up to seven days before the date is free of charge, after that half the fee applies, and the full fee if nobody attends. If I have to cancel, you get an alternative date or a full refund.
